Fees Collection & Distribution

DEFED receives 70% of all revenues, which are claimable for veDEFE holders.

To reduce attrition, the amount each veDEFE holder can receive will be calculated weekly. Specifically, the week's amount will be calculated at the beginning of the week and the week's data will be available at the end of the week, after which the holder can initiate a claim. The holder can also accumulate the amount without claiming it to reduce the cost of gas. The amount will continue to accrue until it is claimed and will not expire.

Note: The week here is not an ISO_8601 standard week, but an epoch week based on the unix timestamp, so the first day of the week is not a Monday. For more information, please refer to the Wikipedia unix time , ISO 8601

Example:

• Suppose user lock DEFE at the current time Mon Sep 26 2022 00:00:00 GMT+0000

• Then the timestamp is 1664150400

• Current epoch week = 1664150400/604800(seconds of one week) = 2751.571429

• So the current epoch week 2751 starts on Thur Sep 22 2022 00:00:00 GMT+0000, and ends on Thur Sep 29 2022 00:00:00 GMT+0000

• And next week 2752 will end on Thur Sep 29 2022 00:00:00 GMT+0000, when the user's first fee will be claimable.

Users can check the current amount claimable at the related page. And the amount will be updated at a minimum every 24 hours.
